June: After the opera season a short stay in Düsseldorf and, with a letter of apology from Johan Wilhelm Elector of the Palatinate, returns to Hanover.
July: End of the month, a letter from Handel from Hanover to Andreas Roner in London in which, among other things, he tells him that he is making progress learning English.
23 November: Handel becomes the Godfather of his niece Johanna Friederike, who was born on 20 November, daughter of his sister Dorothea Sophia Michaelsen.
